This week, Erika hit the road for the Midwest Climate Resilience Conference, where hundreds of researchers, community leaders, and changemakers gathered to talk about how the region can adapt to a changing climate.
She was there on behalf of Yale Climate Connections—mic in hand—to collect stories and interviews from people doing the hard work of building resilience across the Midwest and Great Lakes. Over the course of two days, she spoke with more than a dozen attendees, each sharing how they’re helping their communities prepare for what’s ahead.
From a service to help restaurants reduce their food waste to an initiative engaging houses of worship, to keeping neighborhoods cool during summer heat waves, the conversations were full of creative ideas and practical solutions.
We can’t wait to share these voices and stories with our listeners in the months ahead. Stay tuned!
